Beers Of The Beano - Saturday 20 April 2024

It’s getting near the end of April and the mornings are getting back to being as light as they were before the clocks went forward. It’s still as cold in the mornings as well. However, this week, it seems to have got a lot drier. My planting schedule is running behind too.

It looks nice but it was certainly chilly

First stop was The Malcolm Uphill (Wetherspoons) and the all you can drink coffee to 09:00, when the bar opened.

£2.41 isn’t bad for a Pint of Cask Ale

The review

Fort Smith - Rooster’s Brewing - 5.0% ABV. B+ and a bit, fruity, hoppy, tropical, bitter and a touch of sweetness. A lingering grapefruit bitter finish #ale #beer #bier

3.3/5. Sunny Spring Sunshine in The Malcolm Uphill, Caerphilly. However, it’s chilly with an earlier touch of frost.

5.5% ABV and it’s still early

The review

3.3/5. Diverse mix of Valley Folk in The Malcolm Uphill #Caerphilly 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿 and yes there is spillage.

Chips across the road at The New Caerphilly Fish Bar and it’s down to The Brew Monster Brewhouse.

It looked warmer than it was.

Dumped my stuff upstairs overlooking the brew room and then brew decision time.

Always good to start with a collab

The review

3.5/5. Citra Saturday, can you think of anything better. Discussing T-shirts and thinking of a @dtnsshow venue

A Half of Bits from Flowerhorn

Different beer, slightly different picture

The review

And that was it and for the first time ever, I caught the H bus home (via Tesco)
