Lolffest 15
The first Saturday of May and it’s dry and looking Sunny. It’s LolFfest 15 at Bragdy Twt Lol and I thought it would be a good idea to have an early breakfast at the Costa Coffee on the Crossways Estate. The Costa website said they opened at 06:30, not a chance. I arrived to find out it’s 07:00. I’m sitting outside typing this.
Meal deal for breakfast and even then it’s not that cheap at £5.99 for a Cappuccino and a Bacon Roll. Post breakfast, jump on a bus and some coffee and sherbets at the Malcolm Uphill. The CAMRA tokens were deployed.

Time to jump on the 120 bus to The Treforest Industrial Estate
After many months, Sprin g seems to have finally arrived. Foot bridges are open too.
Beating the queue and getting there early. I wanted my favourite seat in the corner.

I have a feeling that all the recipes are been tweaked over the year as all my rating are up. Next up Horny Goat Ale

Next was Crazy Peacock Ale
This is where the reviews started to fail, although I do have B++ written down somewhere. Seems fair and there will be some YouTube shorts in a follow blog. However, saving the best for last.
The classic, I’m going with B++ and a touch and it was superb. Meanwhile outside the sun was shining.
And finally waiting at the bus stop for the 120 back to Caerphilly.
A great day out but I fear for our Welsh small independent brewers.
