Beers Of The Beano - Saturday 10 August 2024

When you start the day and it feel something strange in your eye and it’s a torn contact lens. Yes, it’s one of those sort of days. Drizzling too. Starting with all you can drink Coffee, in The Malcolm Uphill, Caerphilly. Of course, one of the Coffee was broken and there was a queue for the other one. More of that type of days.

The coffee machine and mug in The Malcolm Uphill Pub in Caerphilly. About to get a Latte.

About to get a Latte

By now, the rain have changed from drizzle to a deluge and I had forgotten my 50p off CAMRA voucher. Luckily my Smock came to the rescue with the rest of the vouchers and my swiss army knife with a scissors. Good selection of cask after 4 lattes and they seemed to be fresh on too.

3.6/5. So much rain 🌧️ outside and a big screen with the Olympics on inside. It’s a no watering can Saturday.

It was a nursing you pints Saturday morning and it was still rain when I left at 11:50. Across the road and a tray of chips from The New Caerphilly Fish Bar. Eating chips on the go in the rain. It must be August.

The Tap Menu in The Brew Monster Taphouse
