Beers Of The Beano - Thursday 13 February 2025

It’s still mighty cold, well for The Lower Rhymney Valley it is. Plan, lazy morning. Malcolm Uphill, Caerphilly for #CurryThursday and then if it’s open, The Project. It’s simple but I think it’s effective.

The Prelude

Lazy Thursday Beano

A poured can of Rocky Road from Brewdog

Prep brew

I caught the 11:20 to Caerphilly and was in the Malcolm Uphill for 11:20. As it was full, I was around the corner in the back.

CAMRA voucher deployed

It was better in The Tumble, however, that is the way with Real Ales. Lovely vanilla brew B+ and a bit #ale #beer #bier

Time for Curry Thursday

A Wetherspoons Curry, half and half

Welsh Craft in the background

Healthy portion of Chips but I still miss the two large Onion Bhaji sides

A poured pint of Doobar from Sharps in front of it's Hand Pump and Pump Clip.

A Pint Of Cooking

Lot’s of YouTube until it was time for The Project. Premium YouTube is turning out to be a game changer.

It was open and here are the beers.

Strangers - Beak - 5.0% ABV. B++ and a big touch. Juice bomb, hazy, fruit, tropical hints with a sweet, bitter finish. Winner #ale #beer #bier

3.7/5. In The Project #Caerphilly on the bar level. Drinking and highly enjoying Beak. RSS is working for me.

Weegie - Overtone - 5.5% ABV. B++, juicy, hoppy, fruity, topical with hints of pine and spice. Sharp, fruity and gently bitter in the finish #ale #beer #bier

3.5/5. 17:10 and beginning to lose the light. Drinking 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 and it’s drinking very well. Working out the time for the bus home.

A poured can of Strangers from Beak

Lovely

Tweaked the brightness
