Beers Of The Beano - Friday 18 October 2024
It all started the day before at Lidl in Caerphilly with a 10 of German Festbiers. Mind you, to be fair, only one of them was a genuine Oktoberfest bier. However, at £24.99, my Untappd stats will be looking far more healthy.
On a misty Friday morning in The Malcolm Uphill, Caerphilly to make sure I go over at least half of the Autumn Beer Festival Ales.
Coffee, all you can drink. Reddit and Swarm app to start at The Malcolm Uphill, Caerphilly.
The review
Canberra - Windsor and Eton - 4.0% ABV. B+ and a bit, complex with bitter sweet notes and hints of chocolate. Gentle fruity, bitter finish #ale #beer #bier
3.3/5. Making the most of the Spoons Autumn Beer Fest. The Malcolm Uphill in Caerphilly 🏴
Moving on to a higher ABV and therefore more expensive Pint.
The review
Caribbean Rum Cask - Innis and Gunn - 6.8% ABV. B++, strong, rum, vanilla and rather warming. Much better than it’s last outing #ale #beer #bier
3.5/5. Friday morning sipper and up 20p because of the ABV. Two more that I want but they are resting in the cellar.
With a Touch of The No Agenda Brothers #v4v. Then the standard Friday Boneless Chicken Basket lunch.
Great Punk IPA Glass but I have the Punk Better and me a shareholder too.
Caught the bus home with 10 seconds to spare.
