Beers Of The Beano - Saturday 05 October 2024

An actual whole day in Newport, after disappearing off on the 151 on my last two visits. A fresh start with the ambient temperature of only 6c. It certainly is Autumn now. And Costa, where both breakfast bars were occupied for 15 minutes after I arrived in Newport. The WiFi, still can’t connect to be it. Tethered my iPad after a reboot because, well just in case.

Red Sky in the morning. Mostly pollution in the atmosphere. It seemed to be strange people alert in The JWL and not ready Cask.

The review

Pumphouse - Sam Brook’s - 4.2% ABV. B+, malty, gently slightly fruity hops. With a earthy, bitter finish #ale #beer #bier

3/5. Consulting Untappd, I think that this should have been rested for longer in the cellar. Cask drinkers problems part 2.

Of course Cans next.

Tropical Assassin - Rooster’s Brewing

It has been a while but it’s time to go back to The Pen and Wig (Newport)
