Beers Of The Beano - Saturday 08 February 2025
Could a Hybrid Beano be the thing of 2025. Certainly while it’s Winter and this cold. Home AM, The Project PM.
The Prelude
Caught the 11:40 A bus to Caerphilly, taking a chance The Project would be open before 12:00?
It opened just before 12:00, so not too bad. I had been through all the beers on the board, so it was Cans Saturday. The fridge ruled.
Not Shrimps actually
The review
Shrimps and Bananas - Yonder - 5.0% ABV. B++, tart and sour, gentle strawberry and banana with a hint of bubblegum. Fruity sour finish #ale #beer #bier
3.5/5. No Shrimps, not even a little one. Gentle with like a lasting sherbet aftertaste. Really works. The Project #Caerphilly
Session time
The review
Ocean Beach - Cloudwater - 4.0% ABV. B++, well balanced, light and refreshing. Malty and hop forward with hints of stone fruits and spice. Lingering bitter finish #ale #beer #bier
3.5/5. Always had a soft spot for Cloudwater and this continues to endorse my decision. Gentle on a Saturday afternoon.
Non session
The review
Everlasting Embers - Left Handed Giant / One Drop - 8.0% ABV. B++, big, full bodied and juicy. Hoppy fruity with dry fruity finish #ale #beer #bier
3.5/5. On the 8.0% before kick off. Maybe sleeping even before it gets dark. Hard at it at The Project #Caerphilly
I actually watched the Rugby but in reality I wished I hadn’t.
A Manc to Finish
